ERMELO WATER SUPPLY STATUS UPDATE

Raw water supply to the Southern Water Treatment Works has been successfully restored, and water treatment has resumed.31 July 2026 [23:34]

The reservoirs will now begin filling up before water is released into the distribution network. Once adequate reservoir levels have been achieved, the network will gradually be recharged.

Residents are advised that the full recovery of the water supply system is expected to take approximately 72 hours, although recovery times may vary depending on location.

Higher-lying areas and those at the end of the distribution network may experience longer delays before water supply and pressure are fully restored.

The Municipality appreciates the patience and understanding of all affected residents during this recovery period and will continue to provide updates as necessary.
