NORTHERN WATER TREATMENT WORKS (NWTW) UPDATE

06 August 2026 [16:34]The Municipality wishes to inform residents that the Northern Water Treatment Works (NWTW) is now fully operational.

The plant is currently operating with the mobile raw water pump, two fixed raw water pumps, and three clear water pumps (two supplying the Airport line and one supplying the Southern line).

The water distribution network is expected to recover overnight as reservoirs are replenished and system pressures return to normal.

During this recovery period, consumers in the following areas may continue to experience low water pressure or intermittent water supply:

- All Wesselton Extensions
- Ermelo East
- Ermelo Town
- Industrial Area
- Portions of Nederland Park

The Municipality sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused and appreciates residents’ patience and cooperation. Further updates will be provided should any significant developments occur.
