🚨 UNDERSTANDING SEXTORTION
Sextortion is a form of online abuse where someone threatens to share intimate images or videos unless the victim pays money, sends more content, or meets their demands.
If you or someone you know is being sextorted:
DO NOT PAY or send more images. This often does not stop the threats or demands.
SAVE THE EVIDENCEKeep messages, usernames, screenshots, payment requests and other relevant information.
REPORT THE ACCOUNTReport the person or account to the social media platform or service where the contact occurred.
CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENTEspecially if threats continue or you fear for your safety.
IF THE VICTIM IS UNDER 18Tell a trusted adult immediately and report the matter to the Film and Publication Board (FPB).
Remember: You are not alone, and it is not your fault. Speak up, seek help and report sextortion.
